Cheap as in: buy a viper or a focus ST cheap !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
I want one badly. I would accept the challenge of DDing it year round. Can I get snow tires this large? These things come with roofs right (serious question)?

They seem cheap until you factor in the life insurance cost.

So, Why does it have to be like this?
Do I want a Scrape with death in a Viper, and a Shocking affair in a Nsx. Hmmmm

Let me know when the GTS gets cheap. I've always thought they were sex on wheels.

First-gens actually didn't have windows or a roof, believe it or not. Buy it and just drive fast in the rain! You totally won't die!

If I had $30,000, my favorite car might have to wait as I go through a Viper and 80s Ferrari and some other ridiculous cars...

Awesome! I plan to be an engineer so I'll come up with some solution. Targa top + canvas windows like in a jeep.

Also, where are the doorhandles? Do you have to reach inside?

Sounds like you got a plan, man. The door handles thing is actually a really good question. Maybe it had keyless entry? I'm stumped too...

No problems reaching inside, because there aren't any windows!

3 spoke wheels. First thing to change. Otherwise, not a bad price.

I don't know whether to thank you or curse you, but I did ask for it. Serves me right. That is getting right down to doable. ARGH!

2nd gens used to be even cheaper, low 20's, but that seems to have passed.

Three spoke wheels MUST stay! You're driving a first gen Viper... embrace its Viperiness.
As for snow tires... if you can't get them for the SRT Grand Cherokee I'm gonna guess no here either.

Hmmm... No, I can't get behind the 3 ball. Keep for originality. But...
You're supposed to be writing about trucks, Andrew. Get back to work. :)

Hmm... oversteer into a tree or understeer in one?
I love those Vipers the best. The panels look like some toy! I see one in my area and I love it!

Oh yeah, no traction control. with some practice you'll be one hell of a driver. Hopefully you don't live in Arizona or Texas, because there isn't A/C. Better bring iphone speakers for your tunes cause no radio.

Better watch out for the snow tires, they may not actually make them that wide. They are 335 width in the rear. From 2003 onwards they are 345 width which was the widest tire ever fit to a production model if I remember correctly.

No exterior door handles. You reached inside to open the door.
BTW, you could get a cloth top for it, and clear plastic side curtains too, so you could theoretically drive it in the rain, but no one would want to.

I love early '90s crazy. The first generation Viper just looks so damn good, the later "refinements" seem to just diminish its appeal.

Buy narrower steelies for winter and take the driving easy. Mounting and dismounting tires from a single set of wheels is a pain in the butt anyway.
